WILMINGTON, DELAWARE, FEBRUARY 1, 2024 – Second Front Systems, a public-benefit software company focused on accelerating the delivery of mission-critical software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to government, is pleased to announce the expansion of its leadership team with the appointments of Aaron Creel as Senior Director of Special Programs, and Sam Gray as VP of Strategic Engagement. 

As Senior Director of Special Programs, Aaron will oversee and manage classified projects and initiatives, ensuring they are executed successfully, while adhering to stringent security protocols and regulations. Aaron has had an extraordinary career across both technical and security roles, most recently serving as the Director, Government Security Programs at SpaceX. Previously, he served as the Director of Security for Orbital Insight and was a Presidential Innovation Fellow at both HHS and AFWERX. With additional experiences across Palantir, AWS, and others, Aaron brings a wealth of security and technology experience to bear and will be invaluable as 2F continues its rapid expansion into classified programs. 

As VP of Strategic Engagement, Sam will contribute to the company’s growth strategy and coordinate a cross-functional team in the planning and execution of government and regulatory efforts including government affairs and relations, strategic communication, targeted PR, and key leader engagement. As the first Executive Director of the Silicon Valley Defense Group (SVDG), Sam grew the group into a highly esteemed non-profit known for connecting technologists, investors, and national security officials. Since 2021, he has also served as a Venture Partner with Franklin Templeton, focusing on dual-use industrial tech companies. In his over 20 years serving as a Naval Officer, Sam completed seven deployments, managed an aerospace acquisitions portfolio for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and launched the innovation accelerator program, NavalX, for the Assistant Secretary of the Navy.
